Al-Ma'ida ("The Table Spread")

Dynamic translation

(5:81) If they had only acknowledged God and the prophet, and what was sent down to him, then they would not have taken them as allies; but many of them are corrupt.

(5:81) وَلَوۡ كَانُواْ يُؤۡمِنُونَ بِٱللَّهِ وَٱلنَّبِيِّ وَمَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيۡهِ مَا ٱتَّخَذُوهُمۡ أَوۡلِيَآءَ وَلَٰكِنَّ كَثِيرٗا مِّنۡهُمۡ فَٰسِقُونَ
