In the quinary (base-5) numeral system, the number "one" is simply represented by the symbol "1". This number has the same value as in the decimal system, meaning it represents a quantity equal to one unit. However, in the quinary system, only five digits are used - from 0 to 4 - as opposed to the decimal system where 10 digits are used. Therefore, in the quinary system, the number "two" is represented as "2", the number "three" as "3", the number "four" as "4", and the number "five" as "10" (one and zero, not ten).

A numeral system is a formal method of representing numbers using symbols or digits according to certain rules. It defines which symbols or digits can be used to represent numbers and also determines the value of each of these symbols or digits in the context of numerical operations.

The most commonly used numeral systems include the decimal system (based on numbers from 0 to 9), the binary system (based on numbers 0 and 1), the octal system (based on numbers from 0 to 7), and the hexadecimal system (based on numbers from 0 to 9 and letters from A to F). However, there are also other numeral systems, such as the senary, vigesimal, quinary, quarternary, and so on.

Each numeral system has its advantages and disadvantages depending on specific conditions and tasks, so the choice of a particular numeral system depends on specific requirements and the context in which it will be used.
