In the quinary (five-based) numeral system, one is represented by the digit 1, just like in the decimal (ten-based) numeral system. However, the quinary system uses only 5 digits: 0, 1, 2, 3, 4. In this numeral system, the following numbers are written as:

1, 2, 3, 4, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 30, and so on.

To convert a number from the quinary system to the decimal system, one needs to decompose it into digits and multiply each digit by 5 raised to a certain power. For example, the number 103 in the quinary system represents 15^2 + 05^1 + 3*5^0 = 28 in the decimal system.
