(20:87) They said, "We did not break the promise we made to you of our own free will. However, we (were) laden with the weight of the ornaments of the people, and delivered (in the heap). In the same way, the Profanator also threw down".

(20:87) قَالُوا مَا أَخْلَفْنَا مَوْعِدَكَ بِمَلْكِنَا وَلَكِنَّا حُمِّلْنَا أَوْزَارًا مِّن زِينَةِ الْقَوْمِ فَقَذَفْنَاهَا فَكَذَلِكَ أَلْقَى السَّامِرِيُّ
