(28:43) We had given Moses the book after We had destroyed the first civilizations, as an example for people and a guidance and mercy, perhaps they will take heed.

(28:43) وَلَقَدْ آتَيْنَا مُوسَى الْكِتَابَ مِن بَعْدِ مَا أَهْلَكْنَا الْقُرُونَ الْأُولَى بَصَائِرَ لِلنَّاسِ وَهُدًى وَرَحْمَةً لَّعَلَّهُمْ يَتَذَكَّرُونَ
