Dynamic translation
(8:43) Now Allah showed you in a dream they were few in number. If He had shown you a large number of them, you would have been discouraged and bickering in making a decision. But Allah sheltered you, for He knows what is in the bosom.

(8:43) إِذۡ يُرِيكَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ فِي مَنَامِكَ قَلِيلٗاۖ وَلَوۡ أَرَىٰكَهُمۡ كَثِيرٗا لَّفَشِلۡتُمۡ وَلَتَنَٰزَعۡتُمۡ فِي ٱلۡأَمۡرِ وَلَٰكِنَّ ٱللَّهَ سَلَّمَۚ إِنَّهُۥ عَلِيمُۢ بِذَاتِ ٱلصُّدُورِ
