Ar-Ra'd (The Thunder)

Dynamic translation

(13:11) As if he has followers in his presence and behind him guarding him from Allah's command! Allah is not to change what is in a people until they change what is within themselves. If Allah wanted to harm a people, then there is no turning Him back, nor will they have any protector against Him.

Arabic text

(13:11) لَهُ مُعَقِّبَاتٌ مِّن بَيْنِ يَدَيْهِ وَمِنْ خَلْفِهِ يَحْفَظُونَهُ مِنْ أَمْرِ اللّهِ إِنَّ اللّهَ لاَ يُغَيِّرُ مَا بِقَوْمٍ حَتَّى يُغَيِّرُواْ مَا بِأَنْفُسِهِمْ وَإِذَا أَرَادَ اللّهُ بِقَوْمٍ سُوءًا فَلاَ مَرَدَّ لَهُ وَمَا لَهُم مِّن دُونِهِ مِن وَالٍ

Connected ideas

(4:79) Any good that befalls you is from Allah, and any bad that befalls you is from yourself. We have sent you as a messenger to the people and Allah is enough as a witness.

(6:61) He is Who ( possesses) Cunning, and (abides) ahead His obedients, and sends guardians for you. And when death comes unto any of you, Our messengers put him to death, and they do not (make) omission.

(72:26-27-28) The knower of the abyss, He does not reveal His knowledge to anyone. Except to whom He has accepted as a messenger; then he leads way in its present and future as a secret observer. So that He knows that they have delivered the messages of their Lord, and He surrounds all that is with them, and He has counted everything in numbers.
