Dynamic translation
(13:40) If We show you some of what We promise them or if We let you pass away, for you is only to deliver, while for Us is the reckoning.

(13:40) وَإِن مَّا نُرِيَنَّكَ بَعْضَ الَّذِي نَعِدُهُمْ أَوْ نَتَوَفَّيَنَّكَ فَإِنَّمَا عَلَيْكَ الْبَلاَغُ وَعَلَيْنَا الْحِسَابُ
Connected ideas
(2:119) We have sent you with the truth as a bearer of good news and as a warner. You will not be questioned about the people of hell.
(3:20) But if they (become) debating with you, say, "I have submitted my countenance to Allah, with those who have followed me. And say to those to whom the Scripture has been given, and to the Goyim, " Will not (show) submission to you as well?" If they (show) submission, they will surely (gain) direction. But if they turn away, for your (mission) is to deliver (the Message). And Allah (leads) the oversight of His obedients.
(21:34) We did not give immortality to any human that came before you. If you are going to die, would they be immortal?
(40:77) So be sober, for the promise of Allah is true. Either We will show you some of what We have promised them, or We will let you die, then it is to Us that they will be returned.
(43:40) Can you make the deaf hear, or can you guide the blind and those who are far astray?
(72:26-27-28) The knower of the unseen, He does not reveal His knowledge to anyone. Except to whom He has accepted as a messenger; then he leads way in its present and future as a secret observer. So that He knows that they have delivered the messages of their Lord, and He surrounds all that is with them, and He has counted everything in numbers.
