(17:76) They nearly enticed you to drive you out of the land. But in that case, they would have shortly been destroyed after you were gone.

(17:76) وَإِن كَادُواْ لَيَسْتَفِزُّونَكَ مِنَ الأَرْضِ لِيُخْرِجوكَ مِنْهَا وَإِذًا لاَّ يَلْبَثُونَ خِلافَكَ إِلاَّ قَلِيلاً
