Surah Al-Isra (The Night Trip)

Dynamic translation

(17:77) Sanity of those whom We sent before you of Our messengers. You will not find any change in Our way.

Arabic text

(17:77) سُنَّةَ مَن قَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا قَبْلَكَ مِن رُّسُلِنَا وَلاَ تَجِدُ لِسُنَّتِنَا تَحْوِيلاً

Connected ideas

(15:12-13) We thus let it sneak into the hearts of the criminals. They do not acknowledge it, while the examples of the early generations has been brought to them.

(33:62) This is Allah's way with those who have passed away before, and you will not find any change in Allah's way.

(35:43) Arrogance on earth, and evil scheming… The evil schemes only backfire on those who scheme them. Were they expecting anything different from the sunna used on the people of the past? You will not find any change in Allah's sunna.

(39:65) He has inspired to you and to those before you, that if you set up partners, He will nullify all your work and you will be of the losers.

(48:23) Such is Allah's sunna with those who have passed away before, and you will not find any change in Allah's sunna.
