Dynamic translation
(35:44) Did they not roam the earth and note what the consequence was for those who were before them? They were even more powerful than them in strength. But nothing can deter Allah be it in the heavens, or in the earth. He is Omniscient, Omnipotent.

(35:44) أَوَلَمْ يَسِيرُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ فَيَنظُرُوا كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ وَكَانُوا أَشَدَّ مِنْهُمْ قُوَّةً وَمَا كَانَ اللَّهُ لِيُعْجِزَهُ مِن شَيْءٍ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَلَا فِي الْأَرْضِ إِنَّهُ كَانَ عَلِيمًا قَدِيرًا
