Golden mean

(2:143) As such, We have made you a balanced (Arab. وَسَطًا, wasaṭan) nation, so that you may be witnesses over the people, and that the messenger may be witness over you. We did not make the paradigm that you came on, except so that we know who follows the messenger, from those who will turn on their heels. It was a big deal indeed except for those whom God had guided; God was not to waste your acknowledgement. God is Kind and Compassionate over the people.
