Dynamic translation

(12:23) The woman, in whose house he was staying, attempted to seduce him away from himself. She closed the doors and said, "I have prepared myself for you." He said, "I seek refuge with Allah, He is my Lord, He made good my residence; the wicked do not succeed."

Arabic text

(12:23) وَرَاوَدَتْهُ الَّتِي هُوَ فِي بَيْتِهَا عَن نَّفْسِهِ وَغَلَّقَتِ الأَبْوَابَ وَقَالَتْ هَيْتَ لَكَ قَالَ مَعَاذَ اللّهِ إِنَّهُ رَبِّي أَحْسَنَ مَثْوَايَ إِنَّهُ لاَ يُفْلِحُ الظَّالِمُونَ

Connected ideas

(3:151) We will cast fear in the hearts of those who rejected, because of what they have set up besides Allah while He never sent down any authority to do so, and their destiny is the fire. Miserable is the abode of the wicked.

(12:51) He said, "What is your plea that you tried to seduce Joseph from himself?" They said, "Allah forbid that we would do any harm to him." The wife of the Governor said, "Now the truth must be known, I did seek to seduce Joseph from himself and he is of the truthful ones…"
