Surah Al-Isra (The Night Trip)

Dynamic translation

(17:36) Do not uphold what you have no knowledge of. For the hearing, eyesight, and mind, all these are held responsible for that.

Arabic text

(17:36) وَلاَ تَقْفُ مَا لَيْسَ لَكَ بِهِ عِلْمٌ إِنَّ السَّمْعَ وَالْبَصَرَ وَالْفُؤَادَ كُلُّ أُولئِكَ كَانَ عَنْهُ مَسْؤُولاً

Connected ideas

(46:26) We had established them in the same way as We established you, and provided them with the hearing, and the eyesight, and the heart. But their hearing, eyesight, and hearts did not help them at all. This is because they used to disregard Allah's ideas, and they were stricken by what they used to mock!
