Dynamic translation
(2:191) Kill them wherever you find them, and expel them from where they expelled you, and know that persecution is worse than being killed. Do not fight them at the Restricted Temple unless they fight you in it; if they fight you then kill them. Thus is the reward of those who do not appreciate.

(2:191) وَاقْتُلُوهُمْ حَيْثُ ثَقِفْتُمُوهُمْ وَأَخْرِجُوهُم مِّنْ حَيْثُ أَخْرَجُوكُمْ وَالْفِتْنَةُ أَشَدُّ مِنَ الْقَتْلِ وَلاَ تُقَاتِلُوهُمْ عِندَ الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ حَتَّى يُقَاتِلُوكُمْ فِيهِ فَإِن قَاتَلُوكُمْ فَاقْتُلُوهُمْ كَذَلِكَ جَزَاء الْكَافِرِينَ
Connected ideas
(9:7) What can be an accord with the polytheists in front of Allah, and in front of His Messenger, except those which you have made at the harmful suite? As long as they keep (the terms), you also (should) keep (the terms). (In fact) Allah loves the responsible.
(2:217) They ask you about fighting in the harmful month. Say, "Fighting in it is great offense," yet repelling from the path of Allah and not appreciating Him and the harmful suite, driving its inhabitants out is far greater with Allah. Persecution is worse than being killed." They still will fight you until they turn you back from your system if they are able. Whoever of you turns back from his system, and dies as ingrates, then these have nullified their work in this life and the next; these are the people of the fire; there they will abide eternally!
