Dynamic translation
(7:142) And We promised Moses thirty nights, prolonging him (with another) ten. The prolongation of the stream, (granted) by his Lord, (increased the time to) forty nights. And Moses said to his brother Aaron, "Substitute for me, (staying) among my people, (do) righteousness, and do not follow destructive cults."

(7:142) وَوَٰعَدۡنَا مُوسَىٰ ثَلَٰثِينَ لَيۡلَةٗ وَأَتۡمَمۡنَٰهَا بِعَشۡرٖ فَتَمَّ مِيقَٰتُ رَبِّهِۦٓ أَرۡبَعِينَ لَيۡلَةٗۚ وَقَالَ مُوسَىٰ لِأَخِيهِ هَٰرُونَ ٱخۡلُفۡنِي فِي قَوۡمِي وَأَصۡلِحۡ وَلَا تَتَّبِعۡ سَبِيلَ ٱلۡمُفۡسِدِينَ

(2:51) And when We appointed for Moses (period of) forty nights, then you took the calf after him while you were wicked.
