(2:51) When we have identified Moses's purpose as laying low, you were used to the yield (as your deity), being gloomed.

(2:51) We appointed a meeting time for Moses of forty nights, but then you took the calf after him while you were wicked.

(2:51) وَإِذْ وَاعَدْنَا مُوسَى أَرْبَعِينَ لَيْلَةً ثُمَّ اتَّخَذْتُمُ الْعِجْلَ مِن بَعْدِهِ وَأَنتُمْ ظَالِمُونَ

(7:142) We appointed for Moses thirty nights and completed them with ten, so the appointed time of his Lord was completed at forty nights. Moses said to his brother Aaron: "Be my successor with my people and reform, and do not follow the path of the corrupters."
