«ذَٰلِكَ - dhalika» - masculine singular demonstrative pronoun.

(2:2) That (Arab. ذَٰلِكَ, dhālika) is the Book in which there is no doubt, a guide for the responsible.

(2:64) Then you turned away after that (Arab. ذَٰلِكَ, dhālika). Had it not been for Allah's favor upon you and His mercy, you would have been of the losers.
