Increase

The triliteral root ʿzāy yā dāl (ز ي د) occurs in the Quran 61 times.

(37:147) We sent him to a hundred thousand, or more (Arab. يَزِيدُونَ, yazīdūna).

(20:114) Then exalted (above all) is God, the King, the Truth. Do not be hasty with the Quran before its inspiration is completed to you, and say, "My Lord, increase me (Arab. زِدْنِي, zid'nī) my knowledge."
