Compare with English «track» - "track of horses, trail, trace".
In English «distortion» - "a result of distorting", from Latin «distortus» - "distorted", consisting of Latin «dis-» - "asunder, apart" + Latin «torqueo» - "twist, wind, torment, torture". Further - Latin «torqueo», from Proto-Indo-European «*terkʷ-» - "to turn, spin".
Direct Track
(4:168) Indeed, to those who have rejected and (acted) unjustly, there will be no forgiveness (from) Allah for them, and He will not lead them (in any) track,
(4:169) except the track to samsara, where (they will stay) forever, and (remain) forever. This (.) is easy for Allah.
(72:16) If they had stood on the straight track, We would have watered them to the uttermost,
(20:77) And We (surely) inspired Moses, that he should advance with Our obedients, and make for them a drained track through the Sea. " Do not fear to be overtaken, and do not (experience) fear!
