«لِي - li» - 1st person prefixed preposition. It means - "for", "for me", "to (smb.)".
(2:34) And when We called, (addressing) to (Arab. لِ, li) the Angels: «Subject to (Arab. لِ, li) Adam!», - so they became subjected except Iblis, he refused and became arrogant, and became of the rejector.
