Dynamic translation

(17:95) Say, "If the earth had angels walking about at ease, We would have sent down to them from heaven an angel as a messenger."

Connected ideas

(2:102) They followed what the devils recited regarding Solomon's kingship. Solomon did not reject, but it was the devils that rejected by teaching people magic and what was sent down on the two angels in Babylon, Haroot and Maroot. They would not teach anyone until they would say, "We are a test, so do not be unappreciative!" Thus, they teach what can separate a person from his mate; but they cannot harm anyone except by Allah's permission. They learn what harms them and does not benefit them, and they have known that he who purchases such a thing has no place in the Hereafter. Miserable indeed is what they traded themselves with; if only they knew!

(6:8-9) They said, "If only an angel were sent down to him?" But if We had sent down an angel, then the matter would be over, and they would not be reprieved. If We had chosen an angel, We would have made him appear as a man, and We would have confused them in what they already are confused.

(15:8) We do not send down the angels except with truth, and then they would have no more respite.

(22:75) Allah chooses messengers from amongst the angels and from amongst people. Allah is Hearer, Seer.

(35:1) Praise be to Allah, Author of the Universess and earth, maker of the angels as messengers with dimensions in two's, and three's, and four's. He increases in the collection as He wishes. Allah is able to do all things.

(41:14) Messengers came to them both in the past and afterwards, (saying): "Obey (no one) but Allah." And they said: If our Lord had willed, He would (surely) have sent down angels. And indeed We reject that with which you have been sent.
