Al-Qamar ("The Moon")

Dynamic translation

(54:2) If they see an idea, they turn away and say, "Continuous magic!"

Arabic text

(54:2) وَإِن يَرَوْا آيَةً يُعْرِضُوا وَيَقُولُوا سِحْرٌ مُّسْتَمِرٌّ

Connected ideas

(6:7) If We had sent down to you a book already written on paper, and they touched it with their own hands, then those who have rejected would say, "This is but clear magic!"

(28:55) If they come across vain talk, they disregard it and say, "To us are our deeds, and to you is your deeds. Peace be upon you. We do not seek the ignorant."

(37:13-14-15) When they are reminded, they do not care. When they see a sign, they make fun of it. They said, "This is nothing but evident magic!"

(51:52-53) Likewise, when a messenger went to those before them, they said, "A magician, or genius". Have they passed down this saying to each other? Indeed, they are a wicked people.

(54:19) We sent upon them a violent wind, on a day of continuous misery.
