Dynamic translation
(9:6) But if any polytheist (asks) you for asylum, (give) him asylum until you (make sure) that he has heard the Word of Allah. And try to lead him to (the idea) that (Allahs Word) does not carry any danger, (in fact) they are a people - unknowledgeable (of the essence).

(9:6) وَإِنۡ أَحَدٞ مِّنَ ٱلۡمُشۡرِكِينَ ٱسۡتَجَارَكَ فَأَجِرۡهُ حَتَّىٰ يَسۡمَعَ كَلَٰمَ ٱللَّهِ ثُمَّ أَبۡلِغۡهُ مَأۡمَنَهُۥۚ ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمۡ قَوۡمٞ لَّا يَعۡلَمُونَ
Connected ideas
(9:40) ... and He made the word of those who rejected be the lowest, and Allah's word be the highest. Allah is Noble, Acuminate.
