Eden (Hebrew גַּן עֵדֶן‎, Gan Eden; Arab جنة عدن‎‎, jannat 'adn) — in the Torah (Genesis) the Garden of Eden, the place of the original dwelling of people.

In a modern interpretation, a stable Quranic expression «جَنَّاتُ عَدْنٍ - jannātu ʿadnin» combines two biological terms - «Genetic» and «Adenine» which are central to the study of genes, DNA, RNA, genetic variation and heredity in organisms.

Adenoid - (Latin adenoid, from Ancient Greek ἀδήν — gland и εἶδος — -oid, -like; also adenoid growths, adenoid vegetations) - pathologically enlarged pharyngeal (nasopharyngeal) tonsil, causing difficulty in nasal breathing, hearing loss and other disorders.

Adenine - a nucleobase (a purine derivative). It is one of the four nucleobases in the nucleic acid of DNA that are represented by the letters G–C–A–T. The three others are guanine, cytosine and thymine.

Adenoviruses (Latin Adenoviridae) - a family of DNA-containing vertebrate viruses lacking a lipoprotein envelope. Adenoviruses are best known for causing acute respiratory infections.

Etymology

Traditionally, scholars favored deriving the name "Eden" from the Akkadian edinnu, derived from a Sumerian word edin meaning "plain" or "steppe". Also, word Eden is possibly related to an Aramaic root word meaning "fruitful, well-watered." Perhaps from Ugaritic base 'dn and meaning "a place that is well-watered throughout".
