(2:7) God has sealed their hearts and their ears; and over their eyes (is) a veil (Arab. غِشَاوَةٌ, ghishāwatun). They will incur a great retribution.

(45:23) Have you seen the one who took his fancy as his god, and God led him astray, despite his knowledge, and He sealed his hearing and his heart, and He made a veil (Arab. غِشَاوَةً, ghishāwatan) on his eyes? Who then can guide him after God? Will you not remember?
