Dynamic translation
(16:57) They assign daughters to Allah; be He glorified; and to them is what they desire.

(16:57) وَيَجْعَلُونَ لِلّهِ الْبَنَاتِ سُبْحَانَهُ وَلَهُم مَّا يَشْتَهُونَ
Connected ideas
(37:149) So ask them: "Are the daughters for your Lord, while the sons are for them?"
(42:49) Allah (has) power over Heaven and Earth. He does what he wills. He bestows (offspring) of females on whom he wills, and he bestows (offspring) of males on whom he wills.
(43:16) Or has He selected daughters from among His creation, and He has selected for you - sons?
(43:17) When one of them is given news of what he cites as an example for the Gracious, his face becomes dark, and he is miserable!
(53:19-20) Have you considered Allaat and Al-Uzzah? And Manaat, the third one?
