The triliteral root kāf bā rā (ك ب ر) occurs in the Quran 161 times.

(2:45) Seek help through patience, and the Contact prayer. It is surely a difficult thing (Arab. لَكَبِيرَةٌ, lakabīratun), but not so for the humble.

(22:37) Neither their meat nor their blood reaches God, but what reaches Him is the responsibility from you. It was thus that He made them in service to you, so that you may magnify (Arab. لِتُكَبِّرُوا, litukabbirū) God for what He has guided you to, and give news to the good doers.

(4:153) The People of the Book ask you to bring down to them a book from the Heaven. They had asked Moses for even more (Arab. أَكْبَرَ, akbara) than that, for they said, "Let us see God publicly!", so the thunderbolt took them for their wickedness. Then they took the calf after the proof had come to them, and We pardoned them for this; We gave Moses a clear authority.
