Universe

From Middle English universe, from Old French univers, from Latin universum (“all things, as a whole, the universe”), neuter of universus (“all together, whole, entire, collective, general, literally turned or combined into one”), from uni-, combining form of unus (“one”) + versus (“turned”), perfect passive participle of vertō (“to turn”). Analyzable as uni- +‎ -verse through backformation of -verse.

In the Quran

(31:25) If you ask them: "Who created the universes (Arab. السَّمَاوَاتِ, l-samāwāti) and the Earth?" They will say, "God." Say, "Praise be to God." Yet, most of them do not know.

(16:3) He created the universes (Arab. السَّمَاوَاتِ, l-samāwāti) and the earth with the truth. He is High above the partners they have set up.

(5:17) Ingrates indeed are those who have said, "God is the Messiah the son of Mary."Say, "Who has any power against God if He had wanted to destroy the Messiah son of Mary, and his mother, and all who are on earth!" To God is the sovereignty of the heavens (Arab. السَّمَاوَاتِ, l-samāwāti) and the earth and all that is inbetween; He creates what He pleases. God is capable of all things.

(17:55) Your Lord is fully aware of who is in the Universes (Arab. السَّمَاوَاتِ, l-samāwāti) and the earth. We have preferred some prophets over others, and We gave David psalms.

Signs in the universes and the earth

(45:3) Surely, in the universes (Arab. السَّمَاوَاتِ, l-samāwāti) and the earth are signs for those who acknowledge.

Initiator of the Universes and the Earth

(2:117) Initiator of the Universes (Arab. السَّمَاوَاتِ, l-samāwāti) and the Earth, when He decrees a command, He merely says to it, "Be," and it is.

(6:101) Initiator of the Universes (Arab. السَّمَاوَاتِ, l-samāwāti) and the Earth, how can be for Him a son, when He did not take a wife? And He created all things and He is knowledgeable over all things.

Seven universes

(2:29) He is the One who created for you all that is in the earth, then He attended to the Universe (Arab. السَّمَاءِ, l-samāi) and made it seven universes (Arab. سَمَاوَاتٍ, samāwātin), and He is aware of all things.

(67:3) He created seven universes (Arab. سَمَاوَاتٍ, samāwātin) one above another. You do not see any disorder in the creation by the Gracious. Keep looking; do you see any flaw?

(71:15) "Did you not see how God created seven universes (Arab. سَمَاوَاتٍ, samāwātin) one above another?"

Adornment of the lower heaven

(67:5) We have adorned the lower heaven (Arab. السَّمَاءَ, l-samāa) with lamps, and We made it with projectiles against the devils; and We prepared for them the retribution of the blazing fire.

(50:6) Did they not look to the sky (Arab. السَّمَاءِ, l-samāi) above them, how We structured it, and adorned it, and how it has no gaps?

A Book from the Heaven

(4:153) The People of the Book ask you to bring down to them a book from the Heaven (Arab. السَّمَاءِ, l-samāi). They had asked Moses for even more than that, for they said, "Let us see God publicly!", so the thunderbolt took them for their wickedness. Then they took the calf after the proof had come to them, and We pardoned them for this; We gave Moses a clear authority.

Other

(2:144) We see the shifting of your face towards the sky (Arab. السَّمَاءِ, l-samāi); We will thus set for you a paradigm that will be pleasing to you, "You shall set yourself towards the Restricted Temple; and wherever you may be, you shall all set yourselves towards it." Those who have been given the book know it is the truth from their Lord. God is not oblivious of what you do.
