Feeding the poor

(76:8) And they feed food out of love to the poor (Arab. مِسْكِينًا, mis'kīnan) and the orphan and the captive.

Helping the poor

(2:83) We took the covenant of the Children of Israel, "You shall not serve except God, and regard your parents, and regard the relatives, and the orphans, and the poor (Arab. وَالْمَسَاكِينِ, wal-masākīni), and say kind things to the people, and observe the Contact prayer, and contribute towards betterment." Then you turned away, except a few of you; you were objecting.
