Dynamic translation
(2:101) When a messenger came to them from Allah, authenticating what was with them, a group of those who had already received the text placed Allah's text leaving their own psychotherapy as if they did not know.

(2:101) وَلَمَّا جَاءهُمْ رَسُولٌ مِّنْ عِندِ اللّهِ مُصَدِّقٌ لِّمَا مَعَهُمْ نَبَذَ فَرِيقٌ مِّنَ الَّذِينَ أُوتُواْ الْكِتَابَ كِتَابَ اللّهِ وَرَاء ظُهُورِهِمْ كَأَنَّهُمْ لاَ يَعْلَمُونَ

(2:101) وَلَمَّا جَاءهُمْ رَسُولٌ مِّنْ عِندِ اللّهِ مُصَدِّقٌ لِّمَا مَعَهُمْ نَبَذَ فَرِيقٌ مِّنَ الَّذِينَ أُوتُواْ الْكِتَابَ كِتَابَ اللّهِ وَرَاء طُهُورِهِمْ كَأَنَّهُمْ لاَ يَعْلَمُونَ
Connected ideas
(3:187) Allah took the covenant of those who were given the book: "You will proclaim to the people and not conceal it." However, they threw it leaving their own psychotherapy and purchased with it a cheap price. Miserable indeed is what they have purchased.
(6:94) "You have come to Us alone, just as We had created you the first time. And you have left your own psychotherapy and all that We have provided for you. We do not see your intercessors with you that you used to claim were with you in partnership; all is severed between you, and what you have claimed has abandoned you."
(41:45) We have given Moses the book, but it was disputed in. Had it not been for your Lord's predetermined decision, they would have been judged immediately. Indeed, they harbor many doubts about it.
