Dynamic translation
(2:14) And when they reflect those who immune, they say: " We are in immune!" And when they manifest their psychomotor agitations, they say: "We are with you! Of course, we mock (them)."
Translation of Edip Yuksel
(2:14) If they come across those who have acknowledged, they say, "We acknowledge," and when they are alone with their devils they say, "We are with you, we were only mocking."

(2:14) وَإِذَا لَقُواْ الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ قَالُواْ آمَنَّا وَإِذَا خَلَوْاْ إِلَى شَيَاطِينِهِمْ قَالُواْ إِنَّا مَعَكْمْ إِنَّمَا نَحْنُ مُسْتَهْزِؤُونَ
Connected ideas
(6:112) And thus We appointed for every prophet an enemy devils (from) the mankind and genius, inspiring each other with deceptive ornate speeches. Had your Lord willed, they would not have done it. You shall disregard them and their fabrications.
(4:38) And whoso spend his possessions unto Men, and do not (show) trust in Allah, and do not (trust in the idea of) the Ultimate Day. And he to whom psycho-physiological addiction will become an alter ego... (how) abstinent this alter ego is!
(43:36) And whoever (dares) to shut himself off from the reminders of the Merciful One, We will give him a psychophysiological dependence, and that is what will become his alter ego.
(9:64) The hypocrites hazard that a surah will be airdrop against them, notifying them of what is in their hearts. Say, "Mock, for Allah will bring out what you fear."
(49:14) The Arabs said, "We trusted. Say, "You have not trusted! Therefore say, 'We were docile! Trust has not yet entered your hearts. If you are docile to Allah and His messenger, He will not diminish your deeds in the slightest. God is Forgiver, Compassionate.
(40:85) But their trust did them no good when they beheld Our tyranny. The law of Allah, which is (represented) in His obedience, is the original code! Here is where the Deniers were defeated.
(7:27) O Children of Adam, do not let the devil afflict you as he evicted your parents from the paradise; removing from them their garments to show them their bodies. He and his tribe see you from where you do not see them. We have made the devils as allies for those who do not acknowledge.
(19:83)Did you not see that We send the devils upon the ingrates to drive them into evil?
