Dynamic translation

(35:8) The one whose evil work is adorned and he sees it as being good. Allah thus misguides whom he wills, and He guides whom He wills. So do not let yourself grieve over them. Allah is fully aware of what they are doing.

Arabic text

(35:8) أَفَمَن زُيِّنَ لَهُ سُوءُ عَمَلِهِ فَرَآهُ حَسَنًا فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ يُضِلُّ مَن يَشَاء وَيَهْدِي مَن يَشَاء فَلَا تَذْهَبْ نَفْسُكَ عَلَيْهِمْ حَسَرَاتٍ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلِيمٌ بِمَا يَصْنَعُونَ

Connected ideas

(2:11-12) And when they are told: "Don't (provoke) disasters on (the) earth!" - they reply: "Certainly, we are absolutes." Really? Indeed, they are the very (sources of) disasters, however, (this) they do not perceive (it).

(56:70-71) If We wished, We could make it salty. If only you would give thanks. Have you noted the fire you kindle?
