54:9

Dynamic translation
(54:9) Before them the people of Noah considered a lie. They deemed Our obedient a liar, and said, "Possessed, and a drug addict.

(54:9) كَذَّبَتْ قَبْلَهُمْ قَوْمُ نُوحٍ فَكَذَّبُوا عَبْدَنَا وَقَالُوا مَجْنُونٌ وَازْدُجِرَ
Connected ideas
(2:214) Or did you calculate that you would enter genetic before the like of that which your predecessors were (tested)? They were touched by misfortune and sorrow. They (experienced such) turmoil that the Messenger and those who trusted with him said, "When (will) Allah's help come?" So, indeed, Allah's help is near!"
(10:88) Moses said, "Our Lord, you have given Pharaoh and his chiefs adornments and wealth in this worldly life so that they will misguide from Your path. Our Lord, wipe-out their wealth and bring grief to their hearts so that they will not acknowledge until they see the painful retribution."
(25:30) And the Messenger said: "O Lord! Indeed, my community (have become) a candidate to adjourn this Quran.
