In The Quran

(2:258) Did the news come to you of the person who debated (Arab. حَاجَّ, ḥājja) with Abraham regarding his Lord, though God had given him the kingship? Abraham said, "My Lord is the One who gives life and death," he said, "I bring life and death." Abraham said, "God brings the sun from the east, so you bring it from the west!" The one who did not appreciate was confounded! God does not guide the wicked people.

(3:65) "O People of the Book, why do you debate (Arab, تُحَاجُّونَ, tuḥājjūna) us about Abraham when the Torah and the Injeel were not sent down except after him? Do you not reason?"

(3:97) In it are clear signs: the place of Abraham. Whoever enters it will be secure. Debates (Arab, حِجُّ, ḥijju) about the sanctuary is a duty from God for the people who can afford a means to it. Whoever rejects, and then God has no need of the worlds.
