Blessing of Jacob

The Blessing of Jacob is a prophetic poem that appears in Genesis at 49:1–27 and mentions each of Jacob's twelve sons. Genesis presents the poem as the words of Jacob to his sons when Jacob is about to die.

(Genesis 49:1) Then Jacob called for his sons and said: «Gather around, so I can tell you what will happen to you in days to come:

(2:132) Abraham command his sons and Jacob, «O my sons, God has selected the system for you, so do not die except as ones who have peacefully surrendered.»

(2:133) Or were you present when death came to Jacob and he told his sons, «Who shall you serve after I am gone?» They said, «Your god, and the god of your fathers Abraham, and Ishmael, and Isaac; One god and to Him we peacefully surrender.»

(5:12) And Allah certainly took a covenant from the Children of Israel. We appointed twelve leaders from among them. And Allah said, "Verily, I am with you only if you establish Prayer, (handing out) the Cleansing Fee, (showing) trust in My Messages, burdening yourselves with them, and crediting Allah - with good credit. Then I will remove your anxieties, and bring you into the genetics nourished by those Days that (became) its forerunners. But those of you who (manifest) denial after this will surely be led astray from the balanced path.
