The triliteral root ʿayn bā dāl (ع ب د) occurs in the Quran 275 times.

(1:5) You alone we serve (Arab. نَعْبُدُ, naʿbudu); you alone we ask for help.

(51:56) I did not create the Genius and the Mankind except to serve Me (Arab. لِيَعْبُدُونِ, liyaʿbudūni).

The Messiah Jesus - servant to God

(4:172) The Messiah would not be too proud to be a servant (Arab. عَبْدًا, ʿabdan) to God, nor would the angels who are close to Him. Whoever is too proud from His service (Arab. عِبَادَتِهِ, ʿibādatihi), and is arrogant, then He will summon them all before Him.

(5:72) Ingrates indeed are those who have said, "God is the Messiah son of Mary!" Although the Messiah had said, "O Children of Israel, serve (Arab. اعْبُدُوا, uʿ'budū) God, my Lord and your Lord. Whoever sets up partners with God, then God will forbid the Garden for him, and his destiny will be the fire; and the wicked will have no supporters."
