Etymology

The triliteral root ḥā kāf mīm (ح ك م) occurs in the Quran 210 times.

Compare with rus. «Кади» (qāḍī, qazi, cadi, kadi, or kazi, кази, казый) - "is the magistrate or judge of a sharīʿa court, scholar of Islamic State Doctrine, primarily judicial".

Compare quranic «yaqḍī - يَقْضِي» (yaqḍī, yaqzī, eqzī) - "he judges", with en. «he examines», from en. «examine» - "to observe or inspect carefully or critically; to check the health or condition; to determine the aptitude, skills or qualifications, to interrogate".

(31:27) If all the trees on the earth were made into pens, and the sea (of ink) were supplied by seven more seas, words of God would not run out. God is Noble, Wise (Arab. حَكِيمٌ, ḥakīmun).

(2:129) "Our Lord, and send amongst them a messenger from among themselves, that he may recite to them Your signs and teach them the book and the wisdom (Arab. وَالْحِكْمَةَ, wal-ḥik'mata), and purify them. You are the Noble, the Wise (Arab. الْحَكِيمُ, l-ḥakīmu)."
