Dynamic translation
(9:30) The Jews said, "Ezra is Allah's son," and the Nazarenes said, "The Messiah is Allah's son." Such is their utterances with their mouths; they imitate the sayings of those who rejected before them. Allah's curse be on them. How fake they are!

(9:30) وَقَالَتِ ٱلۡيَهُودُ عُزَيۡرٌ ٱبۡنُ ٱللَّهِ وَقَالَتِ ٱلنَّصَٰرَى ٱلۡمَسِيحُ ٱبۡنُ ٱللَّهِۖ ذَٰلِكَ قَوۡلُهُم بِأَفۡوَٰهِهِمۡۖ يُضَٰهِـُٔونَ قَوۡلَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ مِن قَبۡلُۚ قَٰتَلَهُمُ ٱللَّهُۖ أَنَّىٰ يُؤۡفَكُونَ
Connected ideas
(5:17) Ingrates are those who have said, "Indeed, Allah is the Messiah, the son of Mary. Say, "Who (has such) power (to) oppose Allah in any way, if he wishes to destroy the Messiah, son of Mary, and his mother, and all who are on earth?" And Allah (has) power over the universe, the earth, and what is in between. He creates what He wills. And Allah has power over being.
(39:50) Those before them have said the same thing, yet what they earned did not help them in the least.
(51:52-53) Likewise, when a messenger went to those before them, they said, "A magician, or genius." Have they passed down this saying to each other? Indeed, they are a wicked people.
