Barzakh
Barzakh - (Arabic: برزخ, from Persian barzakh, "barrier, partition") is an Arabic word meaning "obstacle", "hindrance", "separation", or "barrier".
(23:100) "So that I may do good in what I have left behind." No, it is but a word he is speaking. There is a barrier (Arab. بَرْزَخٌ, barzakhun) to prevent them from going back until the day they are all resurrected.
Ifrit
Traditionally, Arab philologists trace the derivation of the word to عفر ("afara" - "to rub with dust"). Some Western philologists, such as Johann Jakob Hess and Karl Vollers, attribute it to Middle Persian "afritan", which corresponds to Modern Persian آفريدن ("to create").
(27:39) A creative one (Arab. عِفْرِيتٌ, ʿif'rītun) from among geniuses said, "I will bring it to you before you rise from your station. For I am strong and trustworthy."
Kanzun
Arabian word كَنْزٌ kanzun comes from Persian - Ganj-e Badavard (New Persian: گنچ باداورد Ganǰ-i Bādāward, literally "the treasure brought by the wind") was the name of one of the legendary eight treasures of the Sasanian king Khosrau II (r. 591-628). According to the Shahnameh, it was also the treasure of the legendary Kayanid king Kay Khosrow.
(25:8) "Or that a treasure (Arab. كَنْزٌ, kanzun) is given to him, or that he has a paradise that he eats from." The wicked said, "You are but following a man bewitched!"
Musk
The word "musk" comes from Old French musc (13c.) and directly from Late Latin muscus, from Late Greek moskhos, from Middle Persian *mušk, from Persian مشک mushk, from Sanskrit मुष्क muska-s "testicle", from Proto-Indo-European *muh₂s (“mouse”).
(83:26) Its seal will be of musk (Arab. مِسْكٌ, mis'kun), so in that let those who are in competition compete.
Paradise
The word "paradise" entered English from the French paradis, inherited from the Latin paradisus, from Greek parádeisos (παράδεισος), from an Iranian source similar to Avestan pairidaeza "enclosure, park" (Modern Persian and Arabic firdaus "garden, paradise"), compound of pairi- "around" (from PIE root *per- (1) "forward," hence "in front of, near, against, around") + diz "to make, form (a wall)." The first element is cognate with Greek peri "around, about" (see per), the second is from PIE root *dheigh- "to form, build."
(23:10-11) These are the inheritors. The ones who shall inherit Paradise (Arab. الْفِرْدَوْسَ, l-fir'dawsa), in it they will abide.
Rizq
Word comes from Middle Persian (rōzīg, "daily bread, sustenance"), from (rōz, "day"). Compare Old Armenian ռոճիկ (ṙočik), Old Georgian როჭი (roč̣i), როჭიკი (roč̣iḳi), Classical Syriac ܪܘܙܝܩܐ (rōzīqā), ܪܙܩܐ (rezqā), Arabic رِزْق (rizq), all Iranian borrowings.
(2:22) The One who made the land a habitat, and the sky a structure, and He sent down from the sky water with which He brought out fruit as a provision (Arab. رِزْقًا, riz'qan) for you. So do not make any equals with God while you now know.
Tabaq
The triliteral root ṭā bā qāf (ط ب ق) occurs four times in the Quran as the nominal ṭabaq (طَبَق). From Persian تبوک (tabuk, "baker's basket").
(84:19) You will ride a layer (Arab. طَبَقًا, ṭabaqan) upon a layer (Arab. طَبَقٍ, ṭabaqin).
