(15:27) The genius, We created him before that from the flames of fire.

(15:27) وَالْجَآنَّ خَلَقْنَاهُ مِن قَبْلُ مِن نَّارِ السَّمُومِ
Connected ideas
(2:34) And when We said, (addressing) the managers: "Subject to Adam!" - so they became subjected except Abless, who prohibited, and (showed) hubris, and was among the diversions.
(18:50) When We said to the managers: "Subject to Adam." They all subjected except for Abless, he was of the genius, so he disobeyed the order of his Lord. "Will you take him and his progeny as allies besides Me, while they are your enemy?" Miserable for the wicked is the substitute!
