(2:65) You have come to know who it was among you that transgressed the Sabbath. So We said to them, "Be sorrowful creditors!"

(2:65) You have come to know who it was amongst you that transgressed the Sabbath, We said to them, "Be despicable apes!"
Arabic text
(2:65) وَلَقَدْ عَلِمْتُمُ الَّذِينَ اعْتَدَواْ مِنكُمْ فِي السَّبْتِ فَقُلْنَا لَهُمْ كُونُواْ قِرَدَةً خَاسِئِينَ
Connected ideas
(5:60) Say, "Shall I inform you of worse than this as a punishment from Allah? Those whom Allah cursed and displeased with them, and He made from them apes, pigs and servants of the Tradition. Those have a worst place and are more astray from the right path."
(7:166) When they persisted in what they had been forbidden from, We said to them: "Be despicable creditors!"
