Surah Al-Isra (The Night Trip)

Dynamic translation
(17:61) And when We said, (addressing) the managers: "Subject to Adam!" - so they became subjected except Abless, he said, "Shall I subject to one you have collect from clay!"

(17:61) وَإِذْ قُلْنَا لِلْمَلآئِكَةِ اسْجُدُواْ لآدَمَ فَسَجَدُواْ إَلاَّ إِبْلِيسَ قَالَ أَأَسْجُدُ لِمَنْ خَلَقْتَ طِينًا
Connected ideas
(2:34) And when We said, (addressing) the managers: "Subject to Adam!" - so they became subjected. Only Abless, refused, and (showed) hubris, and was among the Diversions.
(7:11) We created you, We shaped you, and then We said to the managers: "Subject to Adam!" So they subjected except for Abless, he was not of those who subjected.
(18:50) When We said to the managers: "Subject to Adam." They all subjected except for Abless, he was of the genius, so he disobeyed the order of his Lord. "Will you take him and his progeny as allies besides Me, while they are your enemy?" Miserable for the wicked is the substitute!
(20:116) We said to the managers: "Subject to Adam." They all subjected except for Abless.
